In 1977, The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Bahawalpur started its working as a commanding body for conducting matriculation and intermediate examinations. It conducts examination within its jurisdiction and the present areas under its umbrella are district Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan.
BISE Bahawalpur announces date sheets for matric and inter exams a month before the exams commencement. BISE Bahawalpur conducts its matric examination in March and Inter exams in April. Announcements of matric and results are usually made in July, August and September respectively.
